*Born in Hondarribia (Gipuzkoa – Basque Country) in 1949.

 

*Graduated in Medicine from the Valladolid University.

 

*Autodidactic musical education.

 

*He studied choir conducting with Maestro Erwin List.

 

*Conductor of Ederki Choir in Valladolid (1971-1976). Third prize in Tolosa (1975).

 

*Founder-Conductor of  Eskifaia Choir in Hondarribia (1978-1994), winning first prizes in Ejea de los Caballeros, Tolosa, Avilés, Tours (France), Gorizia (Italy), Spittal an der Dräu (Austria), Mainhausen and Marktoberdorf (Germany).

 

*Prizes of composition in Bilbao, Tolosa and Igualada. His scores are being published in Sweden (Gehrmans Musikförlag) , USA (Walton, Alliance Music P. and  Santa Bárbara), Germany (Ferrimontana), United Kingdom (Oxford University Press) and Basque Country (bustovega).

 

*He takes part in juries in composition and interpretation competitions for choirs, in Spain, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan and Venezuela.

 

*Founder of Kanta Cantemus Korua (1995), in Gipuzkoa.

 

*Invited by The International Federation for Choral Music to the "IV World Symposium on Choral Music - 1996", in Sydney (Australia).

 

*He attended to the “Tokyo Cantat” as guest conductor in May 2000 and May 2002.

 

*In 2001 he attended  to the Americafest International Women’s Singing Festival as a guest conductor in Seattle (USA).

 

*He has been invited by Swedish church to make a atelier with his religious music in Stockholm in 2003; to take part in Europa Cantat (in Barcelona). He travels to Vancouver (Canada) as "invited conductor of ELEKTRA WOMEN'S CHOIR".
